Every July we head to Long Beach Island, NJ for a week with my family. It is typically the last weekend in July overlapping with my parents anniversary. This year marked their 25th wedding anniversary and they celebrated with a vow renewal ceremony on the beach! So this year’s beach vacation looks even includes a bridesmaid’s dress!
My mom found these beachy white dresses at Nordstrom. All the bridesmaid wore them and the flower girls wore this pretty dress from Target to match my mom. We could wear our own jewelry so I choose this gold coin necklace and these fun evil eye earrings . For my sandals, I wore my favorite studded Sam Edleman ones.
It was so nice to have a day to dress up. Most days are spent are on the beach in a swimsuit. It’s all casual and comfy looks, not too different from my lake vacation outfits.
I did pick up some new suits for the beach. This beige and white cutout one piece swimsuit was just so much fun! Yes, it looks super glamorous and would be a perfect look for a hotel pool, but as a mom, I’m usually on duty to get my hands dirty. So you can look great and also dig your kids into the sand in this one.
How fun are summer knits!? This free people top would also look great with white shorts or jeans. You can wear this well into the fall!
I resisted the belted bag look for a long time and then caved. Funny enough, I did because of Tucker! I always have training treats on me and got frustrated when I was wearing a dress without pockets and no where to put them. So I added this straw belt bag to my H&M order with the white swimsuit.
The big winner in the straw accessory category was this straw bag from Target. I have been throwing everything in it almost every day. From trips to the beach or boat rides on the lake. It was a hit.
These were a few of my favorites. And the ones I took pictures of! A few other beach vacation looks include:
I hope you have a fun beach vacation on the horizon. There’s nothing like the feel of sand in your feet. I hope these outfits give a little inspiration for a great trip!
