There is one thing all mom’s need: mom friends. I am always seeking advice from other moms, whether it’s where to find the best kid’s clothes, favorite recipes, or how to stay sane. This Mother’s day, I’ve enlisted the help of some the amazing moms I know to share what is on their list this upcoming Sunday.
Mom to Addison, 3, and Olivia, 1
Mother’s Day is such an important time of year to celebrate the Mom in our lives. While every year is a little different, this year my family plans to celebrate the Grandmother’s first by having a big brunch together at the Fort Belvoir Officer’s Club. Afterwards, I hope to take some quiet time to myself to relax and then spend time with my little family of four. As for gifts, here are the top things on my list to give and would love to receive too:
An essential oils starter kit from Young Living. Everyone could use a little more calm and natural healing our lives.
P.S. Eunice is offering 10% off a photography session when you mention Finding Beauty Mom. You can contact her here.
Mom to Bennett, 5, and Eva, 3
My grandmother started the tradition of giving all her daughters flowers and plants for there gardens every year for Mother’s Day. And now I love to give and receive the same thing from my own mom!
I love the succulent bouquets from The Bouqs because you can plant the succulents after the bouquet dies!
I’m obsessed with these wooden vases from Magnolia.
This seasonal floral arrangement book is on my list of coffee table books I want.
Mom to Roman, 7 months
I love the idea of a CSA farm membership. My family’s organic farm on the North Fork has a great one. Getting fresh organic veggies each week for your dinner is cost effective and delicious! Plus it keeps mom from having to come up with recipes.
I love to gift my bffs with a customized treStiQue essential 8! Its a five minute makeup routine that is the size of a coffee cup. The makeup sticks are 2-in-1 with product on one side and a tool on the other.
You can never go wrong with a thoughtful and gorgeous flower arrangement. I love these Flora Theory boxes- they are so Instagram friendly!!
There isn’t a mom in the world that wouldn’t love a spa gift certificate. My go-to spa for a massage is Soho Sanctuary… its quiet and simple but they have the best therapists!
Mom to Edhen, 8, Mila, 6, and Esme, 4
Salar handbag: I have had my eye on these bags for a while now. They are so modern and chic with the coolest embellishments and most unexpected color combinations. I especially like the small cross-bodys because they can be used just as easily at the playground when you just need keys and a phone, as a night out. I would be one happy mama opening this!
Theodora Warre jewelry: The thing about jewelry is that every time you wear it, you think of where it came from. It’s also something that can be passed down and literally treasured forever. This particular line is just so special and I regularly scan her website for new pieces. Right now, I am coveting the Moonstone and Zircon Compass Necklace. As mothers, we are constantly being pulled in a million different directions and I love the idea of wearing something that symbolizes finding our way.
Agatinia Kimono Robe: I think just about every mother I know loves her bathrobe! I don’t know what it is, but it’s just so relaxing to put your bathrobe on at the end of the day…I even travel with mine! There is something so nice about having a robe that’s as beautiful as it is comfortable and these robes are high quality, eco-friendly and gorgeous.
Joanna Vargas Euphoria Face Mask: This mask! It literally makes you feel like your skin was just infused with everything it ever needed. No joke. Its the perfect soothing, nurturing treatment, and who doesn’t love that?
Nars Monoi Body Glow II: As we make our way into summer, I stop wearing perfume. The reason being, if there is a mosquito within a 50 mile radius it will find me and attack me. It’s awful! So, a couple of years ago I read about this oil, which is the result of macerating the Tahitian gardenia in coconut extract. It smells like heaven, comes in a gorgeous bottle, gives the prettiest sheen and is SO hydrating- but the best part? It literally keeps the mosquitos away. So, if you know a mother like me (or not) either way, this is such a great gift!
Mom to Betsy, 2, and Alexandra, 1 month
My theme for gift giving this Mother’s Day is: Self Indulgence. With a newborn and a toddler at home, getting out of the house and being pampered with a facial will be the ultimate indulgence for me this year! If you’re located in Boston, I highly recommend Leila at LG Skin Solutions, tell her Social Dearest sent you! For a few of my girlfriends who have recently become new moms, I’m gifting them my go-to brightening Organic Sheet Mask by Orgaid. Packed with Vitamin C to brighten up age spots, acne spots, and sun damage plus hyaluronic acid to add a boost of radiance to dull skin – the perfect on-the-go indulgence for moms! For my mother and mother-in-law, I want them to indulge in some time for themselves and what better way to do that than by gifting something lovely for the bath. Osmia Recovery Salt Bath is formulated with essential oils like lavender to melt stress away and is ideal for sore, tired muscles (and minds)! Just in case my husband and daughters want to throw in a small gift to unwrap on Mother’s Day, I’d love an indulging skin serum like Vintner’s Daughter. It’s truly a miracle worker! Made with 22 active botanicals – this serum is full of anti-aging properties to soothe, repair and nourish the skin.
As for me, I’ll take everything in this gift basket. : )
Sending a heartfelt Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there that do so much!!! Thank you!!!!
