I love the color red. Now, being really fair, I shied away from the shade for a long time. It’s not a neutral that you feel easily comfortable in, However, it is a classic shade. And when the holidays hit, you need to have something red.
Booties | Wool Coat | Drop Earrings | Off the Shoulder Dress | Revlon Cherries in the Snow | Cap Sleeve Dress | Michael Kors Tote Bag | Heels | Canada Goose Scarf | Nars Cruella | Faux Fur Trimmed Peacoat | OPI Big Apple Red| Tassel Earrings | Milk Lip Crayon O.G. Red| Long Sleeve Dress | Pumps |
For lips, I implore you to try out a red shade one night. There is nothing more classic than a red lip. The Nars lip pencil shade Cruella is universally flattering. I have been wearing this shade for a few years and often discover someone else loves it as well. If you’re a little gun shy about wearing this bold color, go for a drugstore brand. Here, I have to recommend Revlon shades. After working there for years and knowing the history of their awesome reds, it’s a no brainer. I’m wearing the iconic Cherries in the Snow this holiday season. Equally as legendary are Fire & Ice and Love That Red.
Next up is a dress. We’re celebrating my sister-in-law’s engagement this year at a holiday party. My plan is to wear a red dress to really get in the spirit!
Lastly, accessories. From bags like this Michael Kors Tote to pumps, scarves and earrings – hints of red add a nice holiday touch. I like to pair these accessories with a black outfit for a pop of color. For example, for an upcoming holiday gathering, I plan on wearing a black lace blouse, black pencil skirt with these heels and my red lip!
